A San Diego man who appeared to be trying to restart “Speed” told police he could not stop driving a tow truck or a bomb could explode.
The suspect, who has not been identified, led police fleeing from Pacific Beach to the city of San Diego on Monday evening, never more than 10 mph, Officer John Buttle told the San Diego Union-Tribune.

After more than an hour of chasing, the police finally stopped the truck, using the speaker strings to soften the tires.
The driver refused to get out of the car and police put pepper balls in the car until he was forced out, according to the Union-Tribune.
