Disney continues to adapt its animated classics into live action. Since 2010, we have been treated to two Alice in Wonderland, two Maleficent, Cinderella, The Jungle Book, Beauty and the Beast, Winnie the Pooh, Dumbo, Aladdin, The Lion King, Beauty and the Tramp , Mulan, Cruella… This is only the beginning, since Pinocchio, Peter Pan, The Little Mermaid and Snow White will land, while versions of Lilo and Stitch, Merlin the Enchanter and The Aristocats have been announced – not to mention the sequels to the previously mentioned films. While it had been suggested that Guy Ritchie would give a sequel to his Aladdin released in 2019, The Hollywood Reporter announces that the filmmaker will tackle a live-action film based on on the cult of Hercules. An early version of the script has been written by a certain Dave Callaham (who wrote the Marvel movie Shang-Chi) and should be rewritten in the coming weeks. The film will be produced by the Russo brothers (the directors of the last two Captain America and the last two Avengers). We don’t know anything more, whether about the casting or a shooting date, but we will have to keep this project in mind. because it is likely to become a priority for the firm with big ears.
