After Mank, David Fincher is back with Netflix as part of his four-year exclusive contract with the platform. For his next project called The Killer, which he has been trying to develop for almost 15 years, he brought to the screen the comic strip Le Tueur des Français Matz and Luc Jacamon, adapted for the cinema by Andrew Kevin Walker, already known for his work on Seven, Fight Club and The Game. It was Michael Fassbender who, after having played a man addicted to sex or the genius Steve Jobs, was chosen to interpret the killer with multiple personalities of the title, whose we will follow the intellectual journey. Tilda Swinton has also joined the project, whose five-month filming ended last March in Los Angeles, after passing through Paris. While no trailer or release date has been revealed, Netflix offers a first look of the film in a behind the scenes video with Michael Fassbender hard at work under the direction of the master, for his first shoot since 2019. In this three-minute montage that documents the studio shots, the actor also praises the genius and Fincher’s perfectionism. See also on Konbini We hope to find the platform in 2023.
