Netflix has just unveiled the trailer for The Gray Man, which will be released on July 22. Considered the most expensive film in the history of the streaming platform by 45 seconds, it puts Ryan Gosling, Chris Evans and Ana de Armas in the spotlight in an unprecedented hunt.The film stars Ryan Gosling aka Sierra Six, “the most skilled mercenary in the CIA (whose true identity is known to no one)”. The latter “accidentally discovers dark agency secrets. A psychopathic former colleague puts a bounty on his head, sparking a global manhunt by international assassins”. Adapted from a novel by Mark Greaney The Russo brothers are at the origin of The Gray Man, but are best known for directing several Marvel films, including Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War, and Avengers: Endgame. The Gray Man is therefore a clever mix between the dynamics of Marvel and the adaptation of the eponymous novel by Mark Greaney. The directors had previously teased the film with humor by tweeting: “We made Chris Evans the best ass in America to America’s asshole.”The Gray Man will be released on Netflix on July 22, 2022.
