Le Printemps du Cinéma, a reduced-price commercial operation, galvanized attendance in dark rooms last week and largely benefited the latest Batman, which is now approaching 2.5 million admissions. According to figures compiled by CBO-Box Office, some 3.4 million movie-goers went to the cinema between March 16 and 22, well above the 2.5 million the previous week.If the Printemps du cinema (2 15 million admissions at four euros per seat over the three days of the operation) does not return to its pre-Covid levels, the exhibitors were delighted with these “good results” despite good weather, the continuation of the pandemic and the anxiety-provoking international context. It is The Batman, a new opus of the adventures of the batman, which benefits the most, it brings together 607,350 spectators over the week, for a total of nearly of 2.5 million. It is the most viewed film among those released in 2022, but it remains very far from the 7.3 million spectators of Spider-Man: No Way Home, released at the end of December 2021. The biggest French production of the moment, Notre- Lady burns, a great spectacle film and ode to the soldiers of fire by Jean-Jacques Annaud, only brings together 388,293 spectators, three years after the tragedy which partly destroyed the cathedral. It is followed by a manga, Jujutsu Kaisen 0, which attracted 347,583 fans of the genre. The blockbuster Uncharted, inspired by a video game, still brings together more than 240,000 spectators and exceeds 2.2 million admissions five weeks after its release.
