Disney is starting to have experience in adapting its classics. He added, “I think they’re excited to see what we can all bring, in a direction that isn’t going to be a reinterpretation of the animated film.” For the production of the film, the two brothers are teaming up with Guy Ritchie, who helmed the 2019 remake of Aladdin. Joe Russo gushed: “Guy is perfect for this because he has a penchant for experimentation.” The film seems to follow in the footsteps of the adaptation of The Little Mermaid which will be released in 2023.
