This Wednesday, we learned that the filming of the film Being Mortal, first realization of Aziz Ansari, was suspended. Without really knowing why. Until the news comes out: Deadline informs us that it was following a complaint about Bill Murray and his “inappropriate behavior” that Searchlight decided to put it on hold. The complaint was filed last week, production was suspended on Monday and the investigation is ongoing. We do not know precisely what he is accused of, nor if he will still be involved in this project thereafter. The American media explains that Aziz Ansari and Seth Rogen are not part of the complaint. Filming had started on March 28, for a release in 2023 – it remains to be seen how long this suspension will last, and what impact it will have on the production of the feature film. We will know more in the next few days.
