After Toni Collette in Heredity and the revelation Florence Pugh in Midsommar, Ari Aster has found his new horrifying muse. While the new elevated horror prodigy has just unveiled the tantalizing trailer for Beau Is Afraid, his new three-hour supernatural comedy horror feature, he’s already got his head busy on a new project, always produced by A24. According to Production Weekly, the director would have recruited Emma Stone as well as Christopher Abbott, revealed in the series Girls by Lena Duhnam where he played Marnie’s boyfriend, for his fourth film with an as yet unknown title. The two actors have also been announced for the casting of Poor Things, the seventh feature film by Greek director Yórgos Lánthimos, in which his favorite actress will play a sort of “feminine Frankenstein” obsessed with sex and fleeing a violent husband.
