At the base, one would have thought that Tim Burton leaned more towards the side of DC Comics level superheroes. It must be said that the American director marked the cinema of the genre with his two Batman films, released respectively in 1989 and 1992. But the Russian artist and cartoonist Andrew Tarusov has another opinion on the question. Indeed, this creator full of talents offers sublime drawings in his book, in which he imagines the Marvel superheroes in a version very steeped in the aesthetics of Tim Burton. Basically, a sort of sublime crossover between the Avengers and The Nightmare Before Christmas. Andrew Tarusov brings to life major characters from the Maison des Idées, such as Captain America, Deadpool, Spider-Man, Iron Man, Thor or Hulk again. The character design is particularly reminiscent of the short film Vincent, the first made by Burton and released in 1982, which paid homage to the work of Edgar Allan Poe. Andrew Tarusov also reinterprets other very famous protagonists in this gothic and refined style, such as Daenerys Targaryen, Rey from Star Wars, Bambi, but also vigilantes of Worthy Competition, including Batman, Wonder Woman and Superman.
