While they are currently finishing the production of Killers of the Flower Moon scheduled for Apple TV + in 2023, the two inseparable are already preparing their future reunion. The Hollywood Reporter announces that they will once again bring to the screen a book by David Grann, mainstay of the New Yorker editorial staff and author of Killers of the Flower Moon. Shipwreck, Mutiny and Murder is scheduled for April 2023, but Apple TV+ has already acquired the adaptation rights and has once again called on the prestigious duo for its screen adaptation. The book tells the story, in 1740, of a British navy ship called The Wager which was shipwrecked on a desert island in Patagonia, South America, with thirty sailors on board, welcomed as heroes by the local community. Six months later, a new ship runs aground and the crew accuses the thirty sailors of mutiny. The Royal Navy will then organize a trial to find out what really happened on the island. seventh collaboration between Scorsese and DiCaprio since Gangs of New York, released in 2000. The filmmaker then directed his favorite actor in Aviator, The Departed, Shutter Island, The Wolf of Wall Street and Killers of the Flower Moon.
