Here, the metro users are elementary: beings of wind, water, earth and fire, but who, like us, read books, listen to music, wear makeup, scroll on their phones, try to control their children. noisy, unknowingly rub shoulders with the armpits of other passengers and meet new people, like Flam (Ember in VO), the fire creature and Flack (Wade in VO), the water creature, the two heroes of the new Pixar. Here’s the first trailer and official synopsis for Elemental: “In Element City, fire, water, earth, and air live in perfect harmony. This is where Flam resides, an intrepid and quick-witted young woman with a strong character, and Flack, a sentimental and amusing boy, rather a follower at heart. Their friendship calls into question Flam’s beliefs about the world they live in…”Also see on KonbiniReminiscent of Vice Versa, Elemental was directed by Peter Sohn, who was also at the helm of Voyage d ‘Arlo and animated or storyboarded many other Pixar studio productions, such as Finding Nemo, Up, The Incredibles, Ratatouille, WALL-E or Luca. After sending Luca and Red Alert directly to streaming on Disney+, Pixar seems inclined to offer theatrical releases to its latest productions. After Buzz Lightyear, released in theaters last June, Elemental is scheduled for June 21 in French cinemas according to Allociné, although the American trailer only mentions a simple date, 2023, at the end of the video.
