After several failed adaptations in the 2000s, Dungeons and Dragons is making a comeback in cinemas. The opportunity to offer fans of the game, repopularized by the series Stranger Things, the epic they were waiting for. If we have to wait a few more months to discover this new adaptation in theaters, the film coming out on March 23, the trailer is already available. On the program: ridiculous costumes, dragons, thefts and forces of evil (for a change). Unlike previous films, Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Thieves is deliberately offbeat. Indeed, the heroes do not impress and the universe is as comic as medieval-fantasy. Result, we do not know on which foot to dance: should we worry about a new potential missed or simply smile in front of the lunar dialogues of the characters? It is still too early to decide. The project has been entrusted to directors Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley. The duo have already worked together on several productions, including the films Game Night and Long live the holidays. On the casting side, there are several big names in cinema, such as Chris Pine (Wonder Woman, Star Trek), Hugh Grant (Love at first sight in Notting Hill), Michelle Rodriguez (Fast & Furious) or even Regé-Jean Page (La Chronique Bridgerton’s). Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Thieves will hit theaters on March 23, 2023.
