Everything Everywhere All at Once, the film by Daniel Scheinert and Daniel Kwan, took everything during the 95th Academy Awards, winning no less than seven statuettes including those for Best Picture and Best Direction. Still, filming only lasted 38 days, a relatively short production time in today’s film industry, so the success of the Daniels’ feature film is all the more impressive. And good humor seemed to be in order on this accelerated shooting, as evidenced by the twisting blooper of the film. We particularly appreciate the palpable chemistry between Michelle Yeoh and Ke Huy Quan, the madness of Daniel Scheinert, the first to mess two takes, the humor of Jamie Lee Curtis, always filled with good shots, and more generally the sympathy and benevolence that emerge from the entire Everything Everywhere All at Once team.
