After scooping Best Actress and Best Supporting Actor Oscars for their performance in Everything Everywhere All at Once (which garnered seven statuettes in total), Michelle Yeoh and Ke Huy Quan will be back on screen in the series Disney+ American Born Chinese. Their costar Stephanie Hsu, who played their daughter in the multi-award-winning feature film, will also make a guest appearance. A family reunion promises great things for this adaptation of the graphic novel of the same name by Gene Luen Yang. The series will tell the story of Jin Wang (played by young actor Ben Wang), “an ordinary teenager who juggles between his school life and his family life”, as the official Disney+ synopsis states. “Until the day he meets a new foreign student, who arrives at his school, leading him to get involved in a battle between the gods of Chinese mythology.”See also on KonbiniThe rest of the cast includes Yeo Yann Yann , Chin Han, Daniel Wu, Sydney Taylor but also former taekwondo champion Jimmy Liu.
