The nominations for the 48th Cesar ceremony, which will be awarded on February 24, have just fallen. The detective comedy L’Innocent by Louis Garrel and the thriller La Nuit du 12 by Dominik Moll, retracing the impossible investigation into a feminicide, are in the lead. With respectively eleven and ten nominations, these two feature films make the awards, ahead of Cédric Klapisch’s film on the reconstruction of a classical dancer (En Corps), and Pacifiction: Torment on the islands with Benoît Magimel, nine nominations each. Like the Oscars who revealed their nominations yesterday, there are no women in the directing category. Rebecca Zlotowski and her magnificent film The Children of Others was not nominated in any category, while Falcon Lake, Charlotte Le Bon’s very successful first film, received only one nomination.
