We’ve been hearing about this live-action remake of The Little Mermaid for years, on the heels of all the similar projects Disney has been undertaking for years. We were wondering when the firm with the big ears would reveal the first images. It was enough to wait, logically, for the D23 for a first teaser to be shown. Filmmaker Rob Marshall, a regular at the exercise (since he has already made Into the Woods and the recent Mary Poppins), presented the first images of the said feature film. We see Halle Bailey, half of the duo Chloe x Halle , as Ariel. The teaser is timid, but on stage, more information was revealed. Starting with the fact that Alan Menken, famous composer of the original, will work hand in hand with Lin-Manuel Miranda, to create 4 new titles. For the rest, you will have to be a little patient; the film is slated for a theatrical release on May 24, 2023.
