All moviegoers around the world had, this Sunday, February 13, their eyes riveted on the Super Bowl. In question ? Like every year, a slew of new trailers unveiled during the Holy Mass of American football. The most important event on American television (117 million spectators were expected) is always an opportunity for the studios to release trailers for the films of the coming months. And it’s Doctor Strange that got people talking the most. It must be said that most of the trailers broadcast during the game had been released beforehand (whether it’s Nope by Jordan Peele, unveiled the day before, Jurassic World: Dominion or the teasers of the 2022 DC films released a little earlier). Only Sonic 2 and Michael Bay Ambulance took advantage of the slot. Suffice to say that the next installment of the MCU, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, easily stole the show. by Sam Raimi and the exploration of the concept of the Multiverse that intertwines with the return of Wanda post-Wandavision). This trailer comes to add a bunch of new images, without fully understanding what is happening there – and this is perhaps what delights us the most. It’s overall beautiful, we don’t yet find the filmmaker’s touch but it feeds the hope of a feature film as ambitious as expected. And that’s not bad. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will hit theaters on May 4.
