Remember: in 2014, when Sony was entangled in a dark affair of email leaks, we learned of the existence of an animated film project far from the cinematic universes of the man-spider. A feature film that intrigued, before seducing us to the highest degree – some, like Alain Chabat, will even say that it was a slap in the face. It must be said that Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is incredible, as much on content (renewing the adventures of Spidey was really not easy) than in form, with splendid animation close to comics, crazy staging and an exciting narrative arc. At the height of its quality, the success was there. Very quickly, the announcement of a sequel was made, then months later, a first teaser set the tone: the film will be cut into two parts . We learned at the time, at the end of 2021 therefore, that the first would see the light of day on October 12, 2022, and a sequel for 2023. Finally, that is what we could hope for. That’s a bit far, we agree, but if it’s to have a finished product of as good quality as the first, then we’ll take our troubles patiently with pleasure.
