While waiting to go into space for his next film, Tom Cruise is already trying to push the limits of the big show on solid ground. To tease the next part of the Mission Impossible saga, the American actor revealed behind the scenes “of the greatest stunt in history” according to the Paramount studio. While filming Dead Reckoning Part One in 2020, Tom Cruise trained for several months for a motorcycle death jump from a cliff top in Hellesylt, Norway. The images are impressive, as the interpreter of Ethan Hunt confides in front of the camera his fears and his doubts in a situation where “injuries and death” are the greatest dangers to avoid. Throughout the video, Tom Cruise is joined by director Christopher McQuarrie, who will helm the final two installments of the Mission: Impossible franchise. The latter explains that in addition to this very risky stunt, the filming was long-term because of the pandemic, which led to its postponement several times (originally, the film was to be released in the summer of 2020). Finally, the latter will arrive in our dark rooms on July 12, 2023, and its sequel, Dead Reckoning Part Two, on June 26, 2024.
