It was feared that the episode of the slap having paused several of Will Smith’s projects would put a stop to his career, but it is not so. The actor and Martin Lawrence will resume their iconic roles in a fourth installment of Bad Boys, three years after the third installment released in 2020. The two friends made the news official on Tuesday in a video posted on Instagram. “It’s official ! Bad Boys 4, baby!” rejoiced the interpreters of the two Miami cops, Mike and Marcus. Stunts, humor, speed, explosions, beautiful cars and a caustic soundtrack were on the program for the reunion of the two aging agents. Warmly welcomed by critics, Bad Boys For Life had amassed 426 million dollars worldwide and Sony had therefore hastened to announce a fourth film whose production was long overdue. After two opuses directed by Michael Bay in 1995 and 2003, the director had, in 2020, passed the torch to the duo of Belgian filmmakers Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah. The latter are back for the fourth installment which will perhaps make them forget the failure of Batgirl, with a budget of 90 million dollars and canceled by Warner shortly before the release of the film which was nevertheless in a box.
