Packed, it’s weighed: the famous short film festival organized by Nikon has closed the applications for its 13th edition and opens today the votes for the Public Prize. The general public is therefore now invited to vote for their favorite short film until April 10, 2023 from among more than 2,200 films in competition by visiting festivalnikon.fr. To celebrate this 13th anniversary, the festival organizers have chose the theme of “number 13”, rolling out the red carpet to genre film lovers and inspiring many aspiring directors since this year, the Nikon Film Festival broke a record and received 600 additional films compared to last year. Comedy, horror, documentary or animation, everything is allowed. Only constraint: the film must not last more than 2 minutes 20. This year, the president of the Jury will be the actor, author, director, composer, screenwriter, producer, editor and musician Alexandre Astier. He will be supported by Caroline Anglade, Mariama Gueye, Pio Marmaï, Luciole, François Descraques, Maud Chalard, Jean-Marie Dreujou, Romain Quirot, Guillemette Odicino, Pascale Faure, David Bertrand and Alexandre Dino. Their mission will be to award several prizes, including the Grand Jury Prize.
